How is the grease distributed in rolling bearings?

Freya2年前 (2022-10-11)Blog574

For bearings, whether rolling bearings or plain bearings, roller bearing or ball bearing, lubricating oil or grease is very critical. The quality of lubricating oil and the amount of lubricating oil are very important. Some customers find that the inside of the bearing is not filled with grease after buying a new bearing. They will wonder if the grease in the bearing I purchased is not enough? Is the supplier cutting corners?

bearing lubrication

Actually this is normal. For a newly purchased bearing, if you disassemble the bearing and observe the internal grease, you will find that one side of the bearing is full of grease, but the other side has no grease. The reason for this is that grease will be injected into the bearing after production, so as to lubricate and prevent rusting during rotation, especially for bearings running at high speeds. These are all to improve production efficiency. If the bearing is full of grease, an additional production process is required, and the price will be relatively higher. Even if the lubricating oil is not full, as long as the bearing can be used normally. And when the bearing is subjected to the rotation test, the internal lubricating grease will be evenly distributed.

The amount of grease inside the rolling bearing is determined by the specific use environment of the bearing, as well as the structure, speed, and theoretical life of the bearing. Some bearings require periodic injection of grease for maintenance, while others may not require injection of grease all the time. So there is no need to worry about the grease inside the bearing being full.

Luoyang FV Bearing specializes in the production of rolling bearings. At the same time, we can also provide various matching greases for bearings, which can meet the requirements of customers for ultra-low temperature and ultra-high temperature. Welcome to contact us.
