The first is the selection of bearings. When selecting rolling bearings, several parameters must be considered: bearing alignment requirements, rotation speed, allowable space, installation and disassembly, tolerance levels and prices.
1. Alignment performance of bearings
When the center line of the shaft is different from the center line of the bearing seat, there is an angle error, or the stiffness of the shaft is small due to the large distance between the two brackets of the shaft, and the shaft is easily bent or tilted by external forces, you can choose to adjust the Self-aligning ball bearings or spherical roller bearings with good centering performance, as well as spherical bearings. This bearing maintains normal operation when the shaft is slightly tilted or bent. The quality of bearing self-aligning performance is related to the allowable coaxiality. The greater the coaxiality, the better the straightening performance.
2, the rotation speed of the bearing
Each bearing model has its own limiting speed, which is determined by physical characteristics such as size, type and construction. Exceeding this limit will cause bearing temperatures to rise, lubricant to dry out, and even bearing seizures. It should be noted that when the bearing uses a high-quality recirculating oil system, the limit speed of grease lubricated bearings is generally only 80% of the limit speed.
3. The allowable space of the bearing is the position in the machine and the space occupied by the machine.
In mechanical design, the size of the shaft is generally determined first, and then the rolling bearing is selected according to the size of the shaft. Usually, ball bearings are used for small shafts, and roller bearings are used for large shafts.
4. Is the bearing installation and removal convenient?
When choosing a bearing type, it is also necessary to consider the convenience of installation and disassembly, especially the installation and disassembly of large and extra-large bearings, such as four-row cylindrical roller bearings and four-row tapered roller bearings. Select bearings of suitable structure according to the installation and maintenance conditions. Bearing clearance and axial displacement, usually, the shaft is supported by two bearings spaced a certain distance apart. In order to adapt to the influence of different degrees of temperature rise of the shaft and the casing, one bearing should be fixed on the axial direction during installation, and the other bearing should be able to move on the shaft to prevent the shaft from being stuck due to elongation or contraction.
5. The magnitude, direction and nature of the rolling bearing load, stiffness and tolerance level.
Load is the most important factor in bearing selection. Roller bearings are used for heavy loads, ball bearings are used for light or medium loads, and carburized steel or bainite hardened bearings are used for shock and vibration loads. In the load direction, depending on the radial or axial load, deep groove ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings or needle roller bearings can be selected. If the load of the selected bearing does not match the actual load, the bearing is easily damaged. The stiffness of a bearing is the force required to produce a unit of deformation. However, the preload force should not be too large, otherwise the friction of the bearing will increase, which will increase the temperature rise and affect the service life of the bearing.
6.
