When it comes to rolling bearing life, we all know that rolling bearings have theoretical life and actual life. Theoretical life is the theoretical life calculated by engineers fully considering various usage factors under ideal conditions. However, in actual use, the actual life and theoretical life of the bearing are different. The service life of a rolling bearing is defined by the number of revolutions: the actual life of a bearing before damage is caused by wear, and damage is usually not caused by fatigue, but by wear, corrosion, seal damage, etc. Any bearing ring or rolling element should have initial fatigue damage or defects over its service life. However, whether it is in laboratory tests or in actual use, it can be clearly seen that under the same working conditions, the actual life of rolling bearings with the same appearance is different.

Even if it is the same manufacturer, due to differences in manufacturing accuracy and material uniformity, even bearings of the same batch, material and size will have different service lives under the same working conditions.

The actual life of the rolling bearing is closely related to the reliability of the bearing. In order to ensure the reliable operation of the rolling bearing, it is necessary to pay attention to the following points during the use of the bearing: 

1. Lubrication: control the temperature of the lubricating oil and use clean lubricating oil. Especially when changing the lubricating oil, do not mix the old lubricating oil with the new lubricating oil. 2. Temperature, pay attention to the operating temperature of the bearing. Working in a supercooled and overheated environment is detrimental to the bearing. 3. Clearance: The clearance of the rolling bearing should be appropriate. Too tight or too loose will affect the performance of the bearing, thereby affecting the service life of the bearing. 4. Maintenance: Regularly check the condition of the bearing and carry out maintenance in time. Early detection of failures and prevention before they occur through proper periodic inspections is very important to improve productivity and economy.
