Crossed cylindrical roller bearings are widely used bearings. There are two main methods for the installation of crossed cylindrical roller bearings: hot installation and cold installation. If the bearing sleeve is in an interference fit with the device, the cold installation method is used; if the bearing inner sleeve is in an interference fit with the shaft, the hot installation method is used. This installation method sounds very simple. So, what are the precautions in this process?

Precautions before installation: The bearing must be installed in a dry and clean environment. Before installation, carefully check the machining quality of each part of the cylindrical roller bearing. All mating and connecting surfaces must be carefully cleaned and deburred. The original surface of the casting Sand must be removed. Clean with gasoline or kerosene before installation, use it after drying, and ensure that the crossed cylindrical roller bearing is well lubricated. Usually, the bearing is lubricated with grease or oil. In addition, before installing the cross cylindrical roller bearing, do dynamic and static balance first. Since the cylindrical roller bearing is installed on the rotor for dynamic and static balance, the generated iron filings can easily enter the bearing.


Precautions during installation: When installing a crossed cylindrical roller bearing, an equal pressure must be applied on the circumference of the end face of the ferrule, and the ferrule should be pressed in. Do not hit it directly with tools to avoid damage to the bearing. In the case of small interference, the sleeve can be used to press the end face of the cross cylindrical roller bearing ring at room temperature, and the ring can be pressed into the sleeve evenly. If a large number of cross cylindrical roller bearings are installed, a hydraulic press can be used. When pressing in, it should be ensured that the end face of the outer ring and the end face of the casing shoulder, the end face of the inner ring and the end face of the shaft shoulder are pressed tightly, and no gap is allowed. When the allowance is large, the cylindrical roller bearing can be installed by oil bath heating or inductor heating. The heating temperature range is 80-100 degrees. But it cannot exceed 120 degrees. At the same time, the bearing should use nuts or other suitable methods. Tighten to prevent the cross cylindrical roller bearing from shrinking in the width direction after cooling, resulting in a gap between the collar and the shaft shoulder.


Precautions after installation: After installation, the crossed roller bearing should be tested for rotation. It should be used for the rotating shaft or bearing box first. If there is no abnormality, it should be run at low speed and no load, and then gradually increase the speed and load according to the operating conditions. At the same time, the noise, vibration and temperature increase should be detected. If any abnormality is found, the inspection should be stopped, and the test can be put into use only after the test runs normally.


Even if you pay attention to the above precautions before installation, during installation, and after installation, you must check the following points to ensure that all links are foolproof.

1. Check whether the load and speed of the bearing meet the requirements.

2. Measure whether the fit of the crossed cylindrical roller bearing exceeds the standard.

3. Determine the heating method according to the measurement and calculation to ensure the oil gap and temperature of the crossed cylindrical roller bearing.

4. Adjust the axial clearance of the crossed cylindrical roller bearing and pad the outer ring.

5. Use a feeler gauge to measure the oil gap of the crossed cylindrical roller bearing. Considering the influence of the site temperature on the cylindrical roller bearing, adjust the oil gap of the super large crossed cylindrical roller bearing under the actual load as much as possible.

6. Check whether the rotating part and the fixed part of the crossed cylindrical roller bearing interfere.
